HASDI is a French humanitarian nonprofit assisting communities affected by crises and natural disasters, wherever needs demand — starting with Haiti, its first field of operations.
Who we are
HASDI is a French association (loi 1901) — neutral, non-denominational and independent — founded on 1 August 2026. It responds wherever in the world a humanitarian crisis or natural disaster demands it, through programmes designed and steered from France and implemented by local partners bound by formal agreements. Haiti is its first field of operations. Its work spans nine areas, from emergency relief to local capacity building, and aims at the recovery, resilience and sustainable development of the communities concerned.
Our areas of work
Nine areas of action, faithful to the organisation's statutory purpose. Here are six of the most structuring:
Education in emergencies
Keeping children in safe education despite the crises.
Water, sanitation and hygiene
Preventing waterborne diseases and securing safe water access.
Health
Supporting access to essential care for vulnerable communities.

Protecting children and combating gender-based violence.

Growing the skills of local solidarity actors.

Taking no side in hostilities or in political, racial, religious or ideological controversies.

Acting on the basis of needs alone, without discrimination of any kind.

Defining our programmes freely, shielded from any political, economic or religious pressure.
How we work
A clear model, consistent with our statutes, designed for accountability to donors and to the communities we serve.
1. Design and steer from France
HASDI designs, funds and steers its programmes from France, in accordance with article 22 of its statutes.
2. Implement with local partners
In each field of operations, implementation is entrusted to local partners bound by formal agreements, selected and monitored by the association.
3. Report, publicly
Statutes, governance, policies and reports are published in our transparency section.
