HASDI is an association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901. Its statutes, adopted on 1 August 2026, define its purpose: providing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by humanitarian crises or natural disasters — in Haiti, its first field of operations, and in any other territory where such needs are identified — and contributing to the recovery, resilience and sustainable development of the communities concerned. This work spans nine fields of action, ranging from emergency humanitarian aid to local capacity building, and including education, health and protection.
Our operating model is simple and transparent: the association designs, funds and steers its programmes from France; their implementation on the ground is entrusted to local Haitian partners bound by formal agreements, which the association selects and monitors over time. This organisation combines the rigour of management conducted from France with the in-depth field knowledge that Haitian actors bring.
As a neutral, impartial, independent and non-denominational organisation, HASDI carries out its work without discrimination of any kind.
