The Board
HASDI is administered by a three-member Board elected by the general assembly for a one-year, renewable term (article 16 of the statutes). Elected by the founding general assembly of 1 August 2026, the Board is composed of:
- Bendy Hilaire, President;
- Zohra Mahir, Secretary;
- Youveline Amilca, Treasurer.
The offices of president and treasurer may not be held by the same person. In accordance with the articles of association, these roles are unpaid: no Board member receives any remuneration for their office.
The Board meets at least three times a year (article 18 of the statutes) to administer the organisation: it sets programme orientations, ensures that internal policies are applied and reports on its management to the general assembly. This arrangement establishes a clear separation between the day-to-day administration of the organisation, entrusted to the Board, and the oversight of its management, which lies with the general assembly.
The general assembly
The general assembly brings together the organisation's members at least once a year, within six months of the close of the financial year (article 14 of the statutes). It hears the reports on the management and situation of the organisation, decides on the accounts for the financial year and, when terms of office expire, elects the members of the Board.
The governance rules summarised here are laid down by the organisation's articles of association. The articles of association and the minutes of the founding general assembly are available on the Statutory documents page.
